What a crazy past few weeks! As the world beings to re-open, and some levels of normality restored to our everyday life, I have found it hard to keep up. Events on both weekend days, regular kids activities, along with the normal demands of work and motherhood have definitely required an endurance and stamina I am not use to. It has been difficult to find space to focus on certain things I enjoy such as reading, re-decorating our bedroom and unfortunately this blog. But we are here now (insert satisfactory smile) and I am excited to share my spring capsule to help guide you to building yours. ***If you have not read previous post "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," I highly recommend you start there. This is step 2 (wink).

I loved choosing the fresh spring palette "Deep End Dive" to work with. French Blue, Illuminating, Marigold and Green Ash were colors I found in my closet, are easy to coordinate together and compliment my coloring. One of the regular comments I get from women is that they are overwhelmed by shopping. Choosing a palette and isolating the pieces in each category, helped me stay focused. I neither over-shopped (remember I'm sticking to 33 total purchases for the year), nor under-shopped (bought 9 items). I was able to hone in on what I REALLY wanted for my spring style.
I conquered a HUGE learning curve (insert humility). While, I consider myself fashionable and dare I say clever at times, I had NO IDEA how to photograph my capsule items to share. I created the capsule weeks ago but it took me this long to present it in an acceptable manner. Photographer and computer connoisseur I am not. So after lots of experimenting, advice seeking and uploading, coupled with intermittent growls (unladylike I know) of frustration it is DONE.
Each time I write or post (especially this time) I challenge my brain and my patience to finish. As frustrating as getting past the learning curve of photographing and program design was, I learned something new. I grew and hopefully this blog inspires you to not only challenge yourself to love your style but also to go out on a limb and explore something you never anticipated trying. TODAY IS THE DAY!
